Smoothies are essential part of any weight loss diet as they have very low fat content and low in calories. Starting your day with a glass of healthy delicious smoothie is a sure way to boost your energy levels during the morning. Mangoes are packed with nutrients such as vitamin A, C, E and antioxidants, and have very exotic taste. The recipe of skinny mango smoothie has less than 300 calories in a glass.
Some of my friends like to add some sugar to their smoothie but I love the taste without adding any sweetener. I replace the low fat yogurt with almond milk. It tastes good with either of the ingredients. Just remember to use only low fat yogurt.
Mango Smoothie Ingredients:
- ¼ cup fresh mango cubes
- ½ cup mango juice
- ¼ cup fat free yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon vanilla essence
- some ice cubes
Please note that I use fresh mango slices when it is mango season. I use frozen mango when fresh mangoes are not available.
How to Make Mango Smoothie for Weight Loss Diet?
It is very easy process to make this low fat mango smoothie. Add all the ingredients except lemon juice in the blender and blend it for sometime so that you have smooth drink without mango chunks. Add the lemon juice. If the smoothie is thick, you can add some more yogurt or milk.
If you like your drink sweet, you can add some sugar in the smoothie to taste.
One glass of mango smoothie has about 300 calories and fat content is very low. It takes only about 5 minutes to prepare the smoothie but it will keep you moving for some time.
